Netflix released the trailer for the second season of The Witcher. The trailer comes in less than two months of the series drop. It gives a close glimpse of the villains and has already got the fans excited. The second season of The Witcher will be premiering on Netflix on December 17.
The trailer reveals the next chapter in Geralt of Rivia (Henry Cavil) with Ciri (played by Freya Allan) and Yennefer’s (played by Anya Chalotra) journey. The kings, elves, humans and demons, everyone battling to win over each other. Geralt trains Ciri and keeps her safe.
Netflix’s first inaugural global fan event Tudum revealed the first looks of the series. The event was a three-hour livestream, which was available in multiple languages, broadcasted across Netflix’s YouTube channels worldwide along with Twitter, Twitch, and Facebook. The event focused on the interests of fans with their Netflix shows-themed TikTok reel segments in between.
The Nilfgaardians are the major threat to Ciri’s survival in The Witcher season 1, the sequel appears to be prepared to push Ciri and Geralt against a far more lethal assortment of supernatural monsters.
According to The Collider, new characters will make a debut. New members of the cast for Season 2 include Yasen Atour as Coen, Agnes Bjorn as Vereena, Basil Eidenbenz as Eskel, Mecia Simson as Francesca, Kim Bodnia as Vesemir, Paul Bullion as Lambert, and Aisha Fabienne Ross as Lydia.
Adjoa Andoh (Bridgerton) plays Nenneke, a mentor and mother figure for Geralt, while Graham McTavish (Outlander) plays Dijkstra, a villainous spymaster. Other Season 2 cast members include Simon Callow as Codringher and Liz Carr as Fenn, Chris Fulton as Rience, Cassie Clare as Philippa Eilhart, the Lodge of Sorceresses’ commander, and Kevin Doyle as Ba’lian.
