Vicky Kaushal shares a picture of prosthetic 'cuts' from Sardar Udham

Vicky Kaushal’s hopes for the film ‘Sardar Udham’ to be nominated for an Oscar may not have come true this time, but his contributions to the cinematic experience of the Shoojit Sircar directed picture have been praised by reviewers and cinephiles equally. He’s busy receiving praises for his portrayal of an unsung Indian hero in the recently released biopic ‘Sardar Udham’. The 33-year-old actor posted a picture of his prosthetic wounds on his Instagram handle acknowledging makeup artist Peter Gorshenin.

The audience loved the actor’s portrayal of Marxist liberation fighter Udham Singh Kamboj in the revolutionary drama based on the Jallianwala Bagh tragedy.

While he maintains that the jury’s decision not to select ‘Sardar Udham’ should be honoured, he responded with a strange Instagram post. The actor captioned a photo of his damaged back, “Cuts that didn’t make the cut.” While crediting the make-up helpers on the set, and hinting at the bittersweetness of his towards the decision of the jury.

Vicky has a busy schedule ahead of him, so he has a lot to look forward to. The actor will play Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw in the Sam Bahadur biography directed by Meghna Gulzar. The next project produced by Ronnie Screwvala has apparently been postponed. According to ‘ETimes’, the film will begin production in 2022.

“Ronnie and Meghna have firmly decided that they will go ahead with it after everything has been put in place. That’s going to take a few months from now,”  a source quoted. This film is Vicky’s second collaboration with Meghna after the 2018 film ‘Raazi’.

Vicky recently also made headlines due to wedding rumours with Katrina Kaif. As per a report by ETimes, Vicky and Katrina are planning to marry in the first week of December in Rajasthan.

The actor is the recipient of a National Film Award and a Filmfare Award and has appeared in Forbes India’s Celebrity 100 list of 2019. In his portfolio, he has been in the lead role in a list of movies like ‘Masaan,’ ‘Sanju,’ ‘Manmarziyaan,’ and more.
