Explained: What NIA charge sheet says about Waze's role in Antilla bomb case

The National Investigation Agency on Friday filed a charge sheet against dismissed police officer Sachin Waze and several others accused in the Antilla bomb scare and the subsequent Mansukh Hiran murder case. Besides Waze, former police officer Pradeep Sharma and other former police personnel have also been named in the 10,000-page long charge sheet.

The charge sheet, which cites 200 witnesses, indicts the accused under IPC sections for murder, criminal conspiracy, kidnapping and ‘negligent conduct with respect to explosive devices’. The accused have also been charged under the provisions of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, the Explosive Substances Act, and the Arms Act.
