Spider-Man: No Way Home official poster unveiled; film to release on Dec 17

The first official poster of ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ has been unveiled and it features the first look at Willem Dafoe’s Green Goblin behind Spider-Man. Dr. Otto Octavius’s mechanical arms, Electro’s lighting, and sand from Sandman can also be seen in the new poster.

The film is the highly anticipated third edition to the Jon Watts-directed trilogy. Fans were eagerly waiting for the film as actor Tom Holland returns once again as Peter Parker and the sequel also has Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange in a leading role.

Along with the poster, the makers also revealed the film will hit the big screen on December 17, 2021, in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.

While sharing poster and release update the makers wrote, “The Multiverse unleashed. #SpiderManNoWayHome is exclusively in movie theaters December 17.”

The last edition (Spider-Man: Far From Home) had the superhero’s secret identity being exposed by Jake Gyllenhaal’s Mysterio and JK Simmons in a surprising appearance as J Jonah Jameson. In this edition (Spider-Man: No Way Home) will show Peter Parker stepping into the multiverse. Being blamed for Mysterio’s death, being called ‘Enemy #1’ and getting followed everywhere by teenagers with cameras, Peter decides to take help from Doctor Strange to send him back to the time when no one knew he was Spider-Man. Doctor Strange helps him out so that he can make things like they used to be.

Despite a warning from Wong, Stephen decides to mess with the multiverse anyway but there is a twist not just the public, everyone even in Peter’s life would also forget that he is Spider-Man, including MJ and Ned.

The official synopsis from Marvel read: “For the first time in the cinematic history of Spider-Man, our friendly neighborhood hero is unmasked and no longer able to separate his normal life from the high-stakes of being a superhero. When he asks for help from Doctor Strange the stakes become even more dangerous, forcing him to discover what it truly means to be Spider-Man.”

‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ is directed by Jon Watts, and written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, the film is produced by Kevin and Feige Amy Pascal.

The film also stars Zendaya as MJ and Marisa Tomei as Aunt May. This is the third consecutive Spider-man film directed by Jon Watts and is slated to release on December 17, a Christmas gift for all the Marvel fans.
